JSC «Kamenskvolokno» is research-and-production platform for the development of chemical fiber industry in Russia.
Thirty-year cooperation between JSC«Kamenskvolokno» and Russian Research Institutes, such as Public Enterprise All-Russian Research Institute of Polymer Fibers, Public Educational Institution «Kosygin Moscow Public Textile Institute», JSC «Research Institute of Steel» (Moscow), LC Research Enterprise «Termotex» (Mytishchi), Federal Public Unitary Enterprise All- Russian Research Institute of Synthetic Fiber (Tver), Federal Public Unitary Enterprise Russian Research Centre «Applied Chemistry» (St.Petersburg), which research problems of theory and practice of polymer material production and its application for needs of Russian Military-Industrial Complex, allowed to store up the richest experience in production of aramid fibers and yarns.
The synthetic high-modulus yarns ÑÂÌ, Ðóñàð®, Àðìîñ, ÀÐÓÑ® and Arteñ® designed by Russian scientists and engineers are rated as para-aramid fiber and have the following unique properties:
- high tensile strength;
- high modulus of elasticity;
- low elongation at break;
- high resistance to thermal and thermo-oxidative destruction;
- resistance to chemical reagents;
- good compatibility with binders of different types;
- long storage period without change of characteristics;
- minor change when being wet;
- biologically stable;
- don't sustain combustion in air.
Field of application:
- optical-fiber cables;
- tapes for special application
- composite materials;
- general mechanical rubber goods;
- reinforcement;
- tailoring of special purpose goods;
- ballistic protection means.
Along with aramid yarns the enterprise produces the following goods from polypropylene (PP):
- technical tape yarns (binder twine)
- sacks, sack and laminated fabrics
- fibrillated and texturized yarns
- strapping band
- non-woven materials (membranes)
- filtrating half masks,
